How do I add money to my opt+ card?

You can add money to your card a number of ways. Choose from any of these options to load money to your opt+ card:

Visit any Visa® ReadyLink location

Have your paycheck directly deposited to your opt+ card


How much does it cost to load money to my opt+ card?

That depends on where you load your funds. Opt+ is proud to offer multiple options to load money at no charge!

Loading at Speedy Cash or Rapid Cash is FREE

Loading at a Visa® ReadyLink location will cost a fee

Directly depositing your paycheck to your card requires you to have the Direct Deposit card ($5.95 monthly fee)


What happens if I return something I purchased with my opt+ card?

When you return something purchased with your opt+ card, the merchant will credit the amount of the return back to your account. Because returns are handled via the merchant's bank, credits may take 2-3 business days to appear in your account.

How do I close my opt+ account?

To close your account, contact customer service at 1-866-331-3063. You can transfer your remaining balance to another opt+ account, or a paper check can be mailed to you with your remaining balance. You also have the option to withdraw your remaining funds at any ATM (fees will apply if funds are withdrawn at an ATM that is not located at a Speedy Cash or Rapid Cash store).

This information must be provided, along with other information pertinent to receiving approval, when applying for a opt+ Card. Currently, we do not issue the opt+ Card to residents of Puerto Rico, Guam, the Virgin Islands, American Samoa, or other US territories.

Obtaining Your Card: The USA PATRIOT Act is a federal law that requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify and record information that identifies each person who opens a Card Account. What this means for you: When you open a Card Account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth and other information that will allow us to reasonably identify you. We may also ask to see your driver's license or other identifying documents at any time.
